The first week of freedom.
Arguably a record, but man, it was tough recording all these covers. 2 days of recording at about 2.5-3 hours each, two nights worth of post-recording editing/synchronization and 4 hours today spent uploading everything and writing descriptions for them all.
Well, it’s done at last. Some covers were good (aLIEz), most were average and a few were…quite bad, imo. Glad to have done all of them though 😀

This was one of the topics which I wanted to write about last time, since it was a bit difficult starting out and learning how to do recordings. That said, one can easily Google how to record using Audacity , so this guide focuses on how a collab group could function so that a few tracks can be easily compiled for the purposes of producing some awesome band covers.
Uploaded some recordings of me playing for church service today. They can be seen as follows, though none are particularly spectacular
Lots of books to read after finals are over. Going for a couple of camps in Dec, looking forward to them. Wonder how Mystera Legacy’s doing, but not sure if I’ll go back due to having other things to do/games to play if I so desire.
The recent post on despondency – what happens when you don’t guard your heart. Unfortunately regrettable, but I guess I walked blindly into that.
Week 10 coming straight up – three essays due soon, and haven’t started on them. God help us all~
Also pretty difficult to find others to collab with. For anyone’s that’s a vocalist/instrumentalist and are interested to collab musically on songs ranging from anime to J-pop or Gospel, check this out and indicate your interest there~
Until then, let’s have a look at Bismarck. Mr. ‘Marck, or BizzyMarck, or Da Biz Man, as I like to call him. Cool dude.
(Other genres also welcome: English Pop/Rock/Metal/Gospel and C/K-Pop/J-Rock/Metal/Vocaloid.)
I’ve decided to try my hand at starting a collab group again for musicians and singers that want to collab with others but find Bandhub not to their liking and are annoyed that CollaboDaisakusen or AnimeSongCollabo seem perpetually closed to new applicants.
This new group, which goes by the unwieldy name CasualCollabCoreCorp (or C4, for short), is my attempt to remedy that. I’ll be maintaining some minimal standards, but by and large I’m going to use the skills learned from starting up and running a Steam clan to manage a community of musicians as well. The goal of this group would be to maintain a fairly active community of like-minded musicians that release a cover at least once a year, and in doing so are able to coordinate with others.
It’s open for all to apply (instructions are in the group’s description), and at the end of it all I hope to perhaps meet others to collab with come December when I begin recording the backlog of covers which only keeps growing. Having spent a couple of hours building up the infrastructure for this group in gSheets, I fully anticipate it being used, so go ahead and apply if you’ve had past experience recording covers and hope to collab with others as well! The only requirements are :
- You’re decently competent in your instrument/singing,
- You upload at least one cover a year (not that hard…) and
- you’re a reasonably nice person (aka not a jerk).
I’ve also made a new YT channel for this purpose, so looking forward to uploading collabs on it in the future~
Did some reorganization of covers and uploaded some stuff that I recorded when playing for service last week.
Bethel Music – Closer (Church Service 180916)
Hillsongs – One Thing (Church Service 180916)
Paul Baloche – Hosanna (Praise Is Rising) (Church Service 180916)
Jesus Culture – Your Love Never Fails (Church Service 180916)
The drums are unavoidably loud because the sound captured is by the camera within the drum enclosure, so…one can’t really hear much of the other instruments (or the singing, for that matter). Maybe I’ll see how this can be improved on in the future.
