A new Collab Group for Anisong/J-Pop musicians/vocalists

(Other genres also welcome: English Pop/Rock/Metal/Gospel and C/K-Pop/J-Rock/Metal/Vocaloid.)

I’ve decided to try my hand at starting a collab group again for musicians and singers that want to collab with others but find Bandhub not to their liking and are annoyed that CollaboDaisakusen or AnimeSongCollabo seem perpetually closed to new applicants.

This new group, which goes by the unwieldy name CasualCollabCoreCorp (or C4, for short), is my attempt to remedy that. I’ll be maintaining some minimal standards, but by and large I’m going to use the skills learned from starting up and running a Steam clan to manage a community of musicians as well. The goal of this group would be to maintain a fairly active community of like-minded musicians that release a cover at least once a year, and in doing so are able to coordinate with others.

It’s open for all to apply (instructions are in the group’s description), and at the end of it all I hope to perhaps meet others to collab with come December when I begin recording the backlog of covers which only keeps growing. Having spent a couple of hours building up the infrastructure for this group in gSheets, I fully anticipate it being used, so go ahead and apply if you’ve had past experience recording covers and hope to collab with others as well! The only requirements are :

  1. You’re decently competent in your instrument/singing,
  2. You upload at least one cover a year (not that hard…) and
  3. you’re a reasonably nice person (aka not a jerk).

I’ve also made a new YT channel for this purpose, so looking forward to uploading collabs on it in the future~

A pretty cool banner too, if I do say so myself. Designed in Gimp haha

Minor uploads

Did some reorganization of covers and uploaded some stuff that I recorded when playing for service last week.

Bethel Music – Closer (Church Service 180916)
Hillsongs – One Thing (Church Service 180916)
Paul Baloche – Hosanna (Praise Is Rising) (Church Service 180916)
Jesus Culture – Your Love Never Fails (Church Service 180916)

The drums are unavoidably loud because the sound captured is by the camera within the drum enclosure, so…one can’t really hear much of the other instruments (or the singing, for that matter). Maybe I’ll see how this can be improved on in the future.

A separate FB page for drum covers and a few cospics

Just a quick update.

Made a dedicated FB page for my Youtube/drum stuff, so I’ll update there in the future for planned covers and whatnot.

Also went to Nijikon last Sat for a short while. It was not bad, took some photos that I think look pretty nice and met a couple of cool guys to take shots together with.

Not going for STGCC though, since not that interested and it’s 19 bucks just for entry. GameStart’s also a meh…maybe.

Upcoming: more work~ and midterms too~

KF2 Server updates and upcoming Coscon

Written in some updates for the Server Policy on servers that I run taking into account the recent 1043 update for KF2. SWAT’s out and some new stuff, but school so not playing.

Through a series of interesting events, will be going with a friend for a…cosplay convention/Club & Society event/random fun and games thingy.  Nijikon 2016, organized by NUSCAS. I don’t know how many that visit this blog are J’philes/weebs/cosers, but if you’re also interested, head on down to uTown this Sat. Will not be taking part in the booth games regardless of my cos status, but should be fun to just walk around.

Actually looking at the upcoming events (henceforth referred to as Coscons), probably will not be appearing for many of them due to school schedule conflicts. Then again, it’ll be interesting to see what has changed since I last left. Perhaps in Dec after finals are over, if they so happen to have a Cosfest Xmas.

Alright, back to work. Will look out for weebs this Sat!
